Liquid nitrogen is volatile because of its ultra-low temperature. When it is poured into a kettle, it will emit a “zizi” sound. When it is poured too quickly, liquid nitrogen will splash and boil in the kettle.
Large areas of liquid nitrogen in contact with air will immediately evaporate and generate a large amount of smoke. The outer wall of the kettle will frost between 5-10 seconds.
